Andhra Pradesh is the second Largest producer of Cashew Nuts in India. The cultivation of cashew in Andhra Pradesh state is mainly confined in 8 districts of coastal A.P. The total area occupies 1.83 lakh Hectare with a production of 99,000 Tonnes. Palasa Cashew Nuts, widely preferred due to their rich taste and several health benefits, these cashew nuts are rich in fat, vitamin, protein and minerals. Further, these Raw Cashew Nuts are cleaned and processed in hygiene environment in highly automated processing units. These are widely renowned for their properties like longer shelf life, high nutritional value and impeccable taste. Palasa cashew market is the largest cashew kernel centre in Andhra Pradesh state.
Grades :
W – 180, is the ‘ King of Cashew ‘ – They are larger in size and very expensive.
W – 210, are popularly known as ‘ Jumbo ‘ nuts.
W – 240, it is an attractive grade which is reasonably priced.
W – 320, are the most popular among cashew kernels and highest in terms of availability, worldwide.
W – 450, are the smallest and cheapest white whole kernels and hence the favorite among low priced whole grades.
Indian cashews are available with prominent importers in USA, Canada, Japan, the Middle East, Singapore, Australia, U.K. and other EEC countries.
